Pun-Colle ~voice actresses’ legendary punk songs collection

news_large_va_punkcollection

WHAT IS THIS I DON’T EVEN

Why haven’t I heard of this before? This album is a compilation of 6 famous seiyuus singing classic punk songs. Your favorite anime character singing a punk song. Think about that for a second.

If punk wasn’t dead, this killed it.

Track – Song Cover – Artist – Original Artist

01 – “Sex and Violence” – Halko Momoi – The Exploited
02 – “Basket Case” – Haruna Ikezawa – Green Day
03 – “White Riot” – Kaori Shimizu – The Clash
04 – “Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)” – Mai Kadowaki – The Offspring
05 – “Anarchy In The UK” – Rie Tanaka – SEX PISTOLS
06 – “London’s Burning” – Yuko Goto – The Clash
07 – “Call Me” – Halko Momoi – Blondie
08 – “God Save The Queen” – Haruna Ikezawa – SEX PISTOLS
09 – “Blitzkrieg Bop” – Kaori Shimizu – Ramones
10 – “Search and Destroy” – Mai Kadowaki – Iggy & The Stooges
11 – “Ruby Soho” – Rie Tanaka – Rancid
12 – “Smells Like Teen Spirit” – Yuko Goto – Nirvana

You’ll now think of Mikuru when you see Kurt Cobain. Yikes. And hopefully those YouTube links will hold up until I finish this (slow) torrent so I can upload the album. They’ve been there for a month, but you never know when those copyright lawyers will attack.

Update: Anonymous delivers.

K-On! episode 4

vlcsnap-7225336

AAAAAAAAAA!

Oh what about tonight’s K-On!? Simple plot, and beach episode (already?). It all started with Mio finding the last club’s tape, and thinking they were good. So she and the new club must defeat them, and whatnot. So after a brief chat, Tsumugi tells them to go to one of her beach-side villas. Normal stuff for the Kotobukis. And of course, Yui oversleeps the trip’s day, which causes her to power up in her Super Saiyan form, seen above, in order to wake up. (lolwut)

vlcsnap-7227308

Shiny meat oooo!

Arriving there, of course everything is awesome and fancy, fruits, meats, giant beds and the like. Yui and Ritsu go party hard in the beach, leaving Tsumugi to console a sad Mio. But they all go out after all. (Ritsu haet boobs)

vlcsnap-7230140

This picture can be taken out of context really easy.

So the day goes by, party, being worn out, etc. Just like a good beach episode should be.

vlcsnap-7238578

A scared Mio is moe too, according to Yui

Highlights being Ritsu scaring Mio by talking about barnacles, and suggesting Mio should wear a maid dress for the school festival. (And I wouldn’t mind seeing that.)

vlcsnap-7234767

Mio can recognize a air guitar chord even through vapor.

While playing with fireworks, suddenly Yui remembers how to play stuff, and does quite the spectacle. All is well, Tsumugi was proven right, there’s no need to worry, just take it easy, Mio. (lol)

:D

And there’s a bath scene, because that’s how anime rolls.

Anime update post! Chobits, Tenchi Muyo! and Saki

I haven’t posted about anime in a while (not counting that K-On! post) so here’s an update in what I’m watching.

Chobits!

youlose

Poor Hideki

Got into a nostalgic discussion with some people on irc, which reminded me of Chobits, something I had watched literally more than 5 years ago. I had actually forgotten how it ends. So I downloaded and watched it all in about 3 days, lol. Such a good series, it was kinda cute and kinda sad. It was a happy ending, but still… (And the second ED rules woo)

Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki

vlcsnap-4402264

:awesome:

Downloaded the first season or something like that (could Tenchi Muyo be more fragmented) and I’m watching it, currently on episode 4. Gotta have your shonen harem anime, one can not live only with drama!

Saki, episodes 2 and 3.

vlcsnap-5282587

Shirts don't work like this :/

Saki tries to force a little drama (*camera pans to this blog’s editor face, little spark comes out of my eye*) but it’s enjoyable. The relationship between Saki and Nodoka is turning out to be interesting, if not a little over the top. We got amusing side characters, a tournament with many evil or just stereotypical looking teams (cute girls school, serious students school, tomboyish girls school, etc) and even a unknown figure that laughs in a dimly lit room! Make your Yu-Gi-Oh! comparisons! (And can’t ignore the ridiculous amounts of weird shirt fan service, lol.)

Also, can you tell I tried to pick the weirdest screenshots to illustrate this post? lol

Ubunchu! The manga about Ubuntu

ubunchucoverjpeg

A manga about operational systems! The computer club has three members, the Command Line Interface Linux fan, the Windows XP user, and the Mac user. But suddenly the Mac user wants to install Ubuntu on their computers. Why? Read to find out!

Mac users are so moe~~~ (*cough cough* AHAHAHAHHA, oh wow. Disclaimer: I am a mac user. :P)

Download links, in a lot of languages.

K-On! Episode 3

vlcsnap-1199158

The infamous Yui playing with Mio's fingers scene

This episode was about studying for an exam. That was pretty much it. lol

Yui failed an exam, and she has to pass the make-up in order to save the Light Music Club, so she tries studying, but can only concentrate on learning guitar chords. She ends up asking for help, and the girls have a study session the night before the exam, fun times are had, and weird dreams are dreamt.

vlcsnap-1199779

wat

But she does the exam, passes it with a 100% (woo!) and yay, everything is back to normal. Unfortunately Yui can only think of Xs and Ys now, so she forgot all the chords she had learned. Back to status quo? Heck yeah!

As I said, this show doesn’t have much of a plot, but it’s incredibly fun to watch!

And then who was U.N. Owen?

The answer to the title would be her. Obviously.

I downloaded a 1.1gb torrent of Touhou music the other day. (using my phone YEEEEAH) And if you excuse the meme talk, shit is pretty cash. Even if you never heard of Touhou, I’m sure you already listened to a remix of one song. If you ever been MC Roll’d.

That song is a remix of U.N.オーエンは彼女なのか?, the theme song of the extra boss (Flandre Scarlet) in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. I also uploaded the original song

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

. Link subject to be 404′d (lol)

But what is Touhou without the fans? A miserable pile of secrets that’s what! (huh?) …aaaanyway, the awesome part of Touhou music is the numerous arranges that show up on Nico Nico, specially if the song is popular. Here’s a link of the search for that song for your convenience~ http://www.nicovideo.jp/search/U.N.オーエン

Favorite arranges: Cool & Create’s version (wtf) and the Sweets Time version. (:awesome:)

But yeah, go download that torrent, or a better quality version, stuff’s kick-ass.

K-On! manga

Yeah, I’m reading the K-On! manga too, just because. The anime is pretty faithful and whatnot, but that’s not what I’m here to post about:

3

This sure is shaping up to be interesting.

Saki Episode 1

saki1

39 seconds in, good start?

Why am I watching an anime about Mahjong? I don’t even know how to play it. Someone recommended me it, or I saw it in a thread somewhere. Probably.

saki2

Cool phone bro

The plot revolves around this girl, she’s good at mahjong, but doesn’t like playing because that’s how she rolls. Her friend invites her (more like drags her along, lol Japan) to the mahjong club, when he learns she knows how to play it, thinking it’ll be a easy game.

saki3

Yuri, Phones and Mexican Food? You got my interest.

So she uses some 1337 h4x to always end up with 0 points. And supposedly that’s badass. So the club president gets her to play a little more, in order to test her. The episode ends with her using some awesomely rare technique or something to get the score of 0 she wants.

saki4

All computers in the show run vista and have 4 browsers installed. lol

So, in conclusion, should I continue watching it? In one side, the characters and relations between them sound interesting. On the other side lol mahjong. Plus the game scenes looked a lot like Yu-Gi-Oh! to be, including little lightening effects when Saki played a important piece and dramatic face close-ups, which was kinda lol.

I think I’ll watch the next episode, but I’ll drop it if it keeps on the Yu-Gi-Oh! game focused plot, and they don’t develop the characters. Well, the anime is about the game after all, maybe I shouldn’t have started watching it~

K-On! Episode 2

picture-1

I like where this is going

K-On! Episode 2 folks! More cuteness, more nonsense, more moments about nothing, and a more music. Well, at least instruments.

I won’t explain the plot in detail because there isn’t much of one, just the girls getting Yui a guitar.

vlcsnap-11876211

The go out shopping, where Yui messes with Mio

They get a job counting cars or something weird like that (lol Japan), and while 2 of them wait inside a Nissan SUV, 2 are outside in the wind, which messes with Mugi’s hair, to the amazement of Yui.

picture-3

I totally like where this is going

And eventually, Mugi goes bargaining with the guitar shop clerk, and gets a huge discount for being the daughter of the shop’s owner.

vlcsnap-11877882

The Kotobuki family sign! oooo

And with that, they get a guitar. K-On! folks, fun times all around.

Now to watch Saki (anime about Mahjong? orly?)

K-On! Episode 1

kon

They aren't that great!

Just watched K-On! episode 1, it’s kinda cute, kinda fun, kinda funny. I guess I’ll watch it using “Why not?” as my reason, lol.

3 high school girls (2 that were already friends plus one that was genuinely convinced to join (you don’t see that often in anime) are trying to save the Light Music club of their school that needs one more member to avoid getting canceled. Then Yui Hirasawa joins by “accident”, tries to leave, and eventually decides to stay because it seems fun.

There really isn’t much of a story going on, hopefully that’ll change. Or not, then it’ll become something like Lucky Star with music, which would also be cool.

But yeah, Yui is totally clueless, I’m kinda curious to see what will she make of this. lol
