They're all awesome, you just had to not be a jerk Makoto...

Hope those walls of text won’t become an habit… anyway, let’s start. (read in a Churuya-san tone)

• School Days – ffffffff, just finished it last night after putting it off, it’s was too painful. The ending still managed to make an impression on me, even though it was spoiled to hell (lol internet). And in the last ED sequence, his phone was off. (:o) The soundtrack/ED themes are just too beautiful, but I doubt I’ll ever be able to listen to them without feeling uneasy. Scary and painful? Yes. Worth watching? Heck yes. Torrent. Soundtracks.
• KissxSis – What better way to recover from a Nice Boat ending than just plain feel-good manga? A story about twins with a brother complex fighting for the guy, it may border on ecchi, but I like the plot. I hope he end up with both of them, as choosing one wouldn’t be fair (lol, perverts?). Manga. (don’t read online, srsly) and the first OVA. (second OVA subs where?)
• Mirai Nikki – Awesome “new” manga (as in I hadn’t heard of it until a week ago or so, even though it is Tokyopop’s featured manga, lol mainstream). Seinen action/drama manga about cellphones that can tell the future. (lolwut? just kidding, the plot is better than that) The awesome part though is our female lead, she’s a stalker of our male lead and pretty much the text book definition of yandere. That provides us with awesome moments as screaming “I won’t let you touch *male lead’s name*!” before running, dodging explosions and jumping out of a window with an axe in hand to save him. (this description may sound hard, but she’s on the good side, other characters are often much crazier). Manga. (this online version is acceptable)
• K-On! and Saki – The watched for this season. Still going just as planned, one being the awesomeness food anime without much of a plot that you can’t stop watching, and the other being the delightfully over-the-top lolgonzo material. (Plus K-On!’s Azusa has the same voice actor as Riko from KissxSis, lol, realizations.)
• Haruhi – Don’t know if I should post even more about Haruhi, but I can’t stop. In the end, after 2gb of assorted raws and subs, I settled on the risen from the ashes a.f.k., even though they hardsubbed it, and the video quality isn’t that good. Woo.
• Kannagi – The 14th episode (DVD extra) is out in raw form. Of course everybody is busy being haters to sub it ;_; I still blame japan for the ex-boyfriend fiasco. Edit: Okay, subs are out and I watched it already. Animation was terrible and the plot was just “what”. Daitetsu died, Jin held Nagi’s hand, there was a swimsuit scene. It all felt so weird. Eh, shame. But who knows, maybe the mangaka will come back, or Sony will fund a second season.

Ah, not counting stuff I rewatched/reread. Y’know, Clannad, Haruhi novels, the typical.

Anyway it was a productive (lol?) month (?), now excuse me while I go back to reading KissxSis while listening to tragic songs from School Days (lol subconscious associations, I almost didn’t sleep today because of School Days, hope that doesn’t happen.)

Kodomo no Jikan is romantic, fuck your shit.

Yay, what I didn’t it to happen happened. As expected, I kinda abandoned this blog (already!). So again, short updates about what I’m watching/reading etc.

• K-On!: Watched until ep 7, best show this season (lol), KyoAni knows their moe?
• Kodomo no Jikan: I started this series because of comments about lol awkward teacher gets teased by 9 year old (lolwut?), but after watching the first season and reading the manga, it really is kinda romantic, if you disregard the insinuations and the age difference that is. The plot was somewhat surprising too, as in, it has one! While some situations might seem cliché (lol getting stuck in the gym locker), the general story is rather unpredictable. I hope it has an happy ending, even though I’m not sure what that would be. Anime and manga links. (ps. I hate Kagami)
• Saki: Watched until ep. 5, downloaded 6 but didn’t watch it yet. I had forgotten that I was keeping up with it actually, not a good sign :o
• 720p Haruhi re-air: Oh god ep. six was awesome and and and the closed space part with both of them :D yay I love this series. I downloaded the FLR Raw for ep. seven yesterday, have to watch it soon… or wait for the [Yuki] version.
• To LOVE Ru: Or however you spell the name. Have no idea why I downloaded it, it’s the typical alien girl with bewbs decides to marry the protagonist, but the protagonist is a fgt. Therefore zany harem hijinks ensue. Kinda reminds me of Tenchi Muyo. It’s one of those series in which the eps. end up with the school half destroyed, but everything is normal on the next scene. Not my cup of tea, but I’m a “finish what you start” person even though I can only watch one or two eps. per week, lol Torrent.
• Akikan!: Downloaded it because of a friend’s recommendation. Wikipedia summarizes it as “the unlikely story of high school boy Kakeru Daichi, whose can of melon juice soda magically transforms into a human girl. More “akikan” girls begin appearing, each of them needing to be infused with carbon dioxide from kissing to survive.” lolwut? I can only take so many lolwut anime per season, so this will sit in my hard drive for a while. Torrent.
• Kanon (2006): I had never watched it before, god knows why. Key + KyoAni = awesome. Have 5 eps. left, ;_;

So that’s what your favorite abandoned-blog-anime-blogger’s been up to lately. I’d promise a post about Kanon later, but lol procrastinating (ahem Spice and Wolf II ova post where).

I just marathoned Kannagi this Friday, started around 3PM and went into the night. I loved it!

I was going to summarize the plot here, but as always, Wikipedia has done a much better job. (spoilers, etc, lol)

Even though I’ve been warned that the ending was meh by 3 people, I absolutely loved it. The Nagi/Jin conclusion was awesome. It does leave a lot of questions unanswered, but the manga supposedly follows it. So there is material…

And of course, I downloaded the OP & EP singles, added the Kannagi tag to my bookmarks on shuushuu and pixiv.

I’m following the tradition of using oddball screenshots to illustrate my post, btw. Yay. And now to watch Spice & Wolf II 00 :D

edit: ooh, just read about the drama of Nagi having an ex-boyfriend ruining Kannagi’s popularity in Japan, gg japs, now there won’t be a season 2.
