ORIGINAL STORY DO NOT STEAL
feng is most certainly proud of this story, as seen in the first episode (and on the OP sequence in general), does it deliver? What were my impressions, as someone who came with no expectations? I’ll try to avoid spoilers more to the end, while giving my general impressions. Looking at past twitter updates, akane.txt, and my collection of screenshots to recall what happened.
FIRST KISS kara hajimaru futari no koi no HISTORY
Cool kid saves a girl from punks just with his reputation, only to find out the girl transferred to his school. Not knowing what to do, he kisses her. (Naturally.) While she initially liked him, now she hates him for his rashness. Later that night, she moves into his house because she apparently is his arranged bride! Yay! (Doesn’t count as spoilers, it’s just the first episode.)
The classic I fell on you scene, love.
So there we have it, pretty interesting first episode (screw you I like clichés), zany hijinks are sure to ensue with a setup like that. A harem series going just as expected. (as I noted on my 2nd update about it)
Have I told you I love the character design? 'Cause I do!
They keep this pacing for the good part of the series, harem shenanigans, kid surrounded by awesome teasing girls (with awesome hair), there’s your usual Onsen, Cruise party, accidental date episodes, school festival, all good and entertaining stuff.

We have the awkward and unsuccessful advances of Ayanokouji (she repeats her name so much I ended up memorizing it). She’ll do anything for our hero, while being filthy rich. Arguably the best girl? Parallel to CLANNAD’s Tomoyo. (Material for later this post, a comparison with CLANNAD? Oh god what)

We have out awkward but adorable advances between the Rie Kugimiya character, Yuuhi, and our main character, with out bro doing kind stuff as saving her from a dude dressed as an octopus, falling in a river to save her hat, sharing warmth in an abandoned school building (wat), classic Japanese romance. But…
Don't ask the impossible?
Dude’s eyes are just on his sister all along, staring at her, being thoughtful with her. All could be set just as playful sister complex, if not for our hero (like all male harem leads) being a faggot and dismissing every other good girl D:
Also there was a naked girls + bears scene for some reason.
It keeps going like this, until one of heroines (the childhood friend character) remembers she want to be a voice actress, she tried hard, but gets nervous and fails the audience. Our hero being the kool d00d he is, comforts her after finding her in her usual spot that only he knows about. With love and the power of friendship (!), they all convince her to keep on walking towards that dream!
And they all lived happily ever after!
GOOD END! …wait what. Right, there’s a plot to tie up. (Note: this is episode 8 of a 12 episode series, tying everything in just four eps? I’ve seen worse.) Read on for real plot spoilers!
Oh but hey, our bro’s birthday is next week, how convenient. Birthday parties are always good relationship breakers/makers. Yuuhi is assigned to to find a birthday present, but after a little trial and error (sidenote: which included a scene of both her and the sister looking at our hero’s secret porn stash, experienced comments included, awesome?) she’s set to bake the cake.
But first, let's look at the party. (Lucky bastard)
Let’s stop and look at the girls though, from left to right.
- Minato, the sister.
- A friend that doesn’t play a big part afaik.
- Tsukasa, the VA wannabe. If I had to guess, her VN route would have its decisive flag on the “take pix of me plz” scene for the VA application.
- The Student Council president. While being a school idol of sorts, she admits she doesn’t have a boyfriend and that she enjoys using our hero to do odd jobs (and even calls him Jun-Kun). I’d be really curious about how her VN arc would develop.
Hey at least the minor heroines are... never mind.
And naturally, Nagomi after a whole series showing no apparent no attachment, shows up as being a present herself to our hero. >harem anime, etc
Anyway, back to the plot (lol), Yuuhi does make the cake, which after a lot of tension, is eaten by our hero. He throws the oh so cliché line, “You made it for me, therefore it is delicious.” that marks the start of the drama.
"Oh god he praised my cake!"
"Oh noes, he isn't praising me, but someone else :/"
Now for the last sequence I’ll be lazy and let the screenshot captions talk:
Episode 10: suddenly drama and story progress real fast! and sunohara giving the bro advice, god bless him.

Holy shit the sister also realized the same thing after Yuuhi left to talk to her parents.
Episode 11: Holy shit yessss more drama.
Anger tennis to forget about what she did last night.
She wants to give herself to our hero, but she notices something's weird... (after a whole series of being oblivious to the signs)
All the other girls noticed their fight, and are being nosy to help their relationship. (Really love her hair, lol)
Being our hero's time to leave the house to do someshit, the final confrontation unfolds!

Quick recap: After the cake scene, Yuuhi got super deredere over him, left the house to say they’ll go the whole way naturally, the sister also got super deredere (because of a single compliment! after a whole series setting them up!). Yuuhi comes back, notices shit happened (they just hugged on the anime, I don’t expect the VN to be like that), they fight.
Our hero leaves to meet his parents (first mention of the post? Yeah, apparently the parents are some kind of RAMBO couple that goes around killing people and exploding stuff.), but it was a trap, and uh… weird but irrelevant stuff happens.
Now while he’s away, Yuuhi and the sister reached an agreement, how will things unfold when he comes back?!? Time for the…
Finale! (Episode 12)

Our hero returns to an angry Yuuhi, that noticed the first thing he did when he got home was check his sister. (lol) Both girls leave him, so he can make his decision by himself. Which is kind of a weird thing to do!
Awkwardness ensues in the school setting, Tsukasa + the Sunohara type bro give him more advice. (Which basically was “Decide already fgt”) even the Sensei took him to the beach to teach him a a thing or two.
I bet a sensei end is possible on the VN, as a joke.
Finally, we reach the final 5 minutes of the whole series, time to clean shit up! Who better to fix things than…
His past self acting like is conscience/lack of!!!
Opening yet another side note here: Both Sunohara while talking with our hero, and Yuuhi while talking with the sister, told them to go for the incest end. Everybody is telling them to roll with it, now even his own conscience is calling his ass out because he’s not doing it! Best friends/conscience ever?
So he decided, he puts on his mean ass gloves (srsly) and goes to school, to settle things out. He meets Yuuhi in the hallways, she knows he’s decided, he walks away, she smiles. (After all that made her fall for him: sharing warmth in the abandoned building, saving her from the octopus/fire, getting her hat, cake compliment. going with her on that date (hugging in the movies), trying up glasses (?!?), deleted library scene (?!?))
He walks to the sister, on the eponymous rose colored hill, and lays it down.
Sister end.
NOW! The drama was solved, time for ridiculousness!!!
Turns out everybody was watching that scene from behind a corner, and they’re all ( ◔ ◡ ◔) incest yaaay. The girls who liked him, Yuuhi, Sunohara.
Only Ayanokouji was ヽ( ﾟДﾟ)ﾉ - incest!!
So the wacky spy girl had a twin? And they were aliens? And she was burning the X file.
What? The X File was commissioned by their rambo parents?
Yuuhi decides to live there again "Because it's closer to school lol"
So in the last 2 minutes everything gets solved, everybody got happy. The parents were behind the whole thing. (ps. it’s hinted that they aren’t blood related, but they are in the original VN, welp) Yuuhi gets back to interrupt the mizugi boners scene. …and ONLY Ayanokouji had anything to say about that.
He could have gone with the Ayanokouji end after both the girls left home, he could. But heck, usually I root for the imouto end, but Yuuhi was too adorable in this series (see; so cute 1~16.jpg). Can’t really argue with how they put it… buuuut… it worked out too nicely!
As I’ve read, the ending really is something! I was laughing during the whole final sequence! But unlike other people, the ending does not make me dismiss the whole series.
It’s has a nice start, goes into generic harem mode for eps 2 to 8 (which is okay if you like such stuff, as I do!), gets super dramatic to end in an perfectly clean no hearts broken ending. I’d recommend this series sure, it’s nice until the ending, and I recommend the ending, it’s just too funny how everything works.
