Bored/procrastinating from college work, so here’s a update post:

Urusei Yatsura 2: Beautiful Dreamer: See, who says I don’t watch old classics? Finally got that out of the to-watch queue, and it is pretty awesome! Not knowing much about the rest of the Urusei Yatsura franchise kinda adds to the what is going on feeling, much like a dream. (deep)

Chocotto Sister: Was repeatedly recommended it as a lolicon anime, it is nothing of the sorts, just a “:3 at the sister” anime. Good, but forgettable, I am four episodes into it and had almost forgotten about it already :P

I think I was watching the To LoveRU OVAs (did I get the capitalization right?) but I can’t say I remember it now.

KissxSis episode 2 (actually episode 3 since the first one was episode 0, fuck japan etc): Japan sure loves teh pissing anime. Shame, there’s only like two chapters in the manga to which pissing is important, but I can tell the upcoming TV series will be fucking Juuden-chan season 2.

Usual seasonal stuff:

Uiharu might be moe, but something still strikes me as wrong about that series.

Railgun (8): the “plot” thing is kinda annoying me, Kuroko is the only reason why I still watch it.

Seitokai no Ichizon (7): Aka-chan is moe~.

Now for something contrasting with the character design above.

Kimi ni Todoke (7): Ganbate, Sawako ;_;

The president is awesome.

Kampfer (8): The president… actually scratch that everybody in this series is awesome, yet Natsuru is so completely retarded. Shame it will never end in anything.

Nogizaka Haruka no Etc ~Season 2~ (7): Even though the last episode was Shiina-centric, Haruka still gets the screenshot, they’re too perfect of a couple D:. But yes, prediction: by the end of this series, even Nobunaga will have teh homolust for Yuuto, dude’s too much of a gentleman.

Whew was that all? Maybe I shouldn’t have added a screenshot for every series… oh well.

So so so yes I’m watching shit that’s seasonal and stuff but that’s not what I’m here to talk about. I just finished two old series yesterday and today and I would like to tell you about them. You? >implying I’m not just writing this to myself.

This is Isurugi Noe

True Tears – I had started the first episode back in the beginning of September, decided to start and finish it again three days ago. Did so. Really dramatic, and flying chickens are really the main plot here. Also, the picture above is Isurugi Noe being the main character’s blue angel, yeah take of that what you will. I used to make fun of people that judge series based on the ending, and I tried to be above that. I can’t, 7/10 is my rating.

This is Rizel

Rizelmine – Tried not to pick a spoilerish screencap, but oh well. That is Rizel, she’s a genetically modified girl developed by the Japanese gov to h4x them shits. For weird and to be explained reasons she was married to this older kid that has a thing for older woman. So it starts as unwanted sudden loli girlfriend appearance, with the male lead being a dick.

It is formulaic like that for the first couple episodes, but no, it turns out to be much more. Funny, fast-paced, unpredictable, and with a sprinkle of drama. You could argue it’s even a coming to age story. Rie Kugimiya is best in that role, and the ending is perfect. Harry Potter-esque. Anyway, my rating would be a 9/10, it only loses one point for the weak start and dickish male lead character.

Well turns out this post ended up being quite big anyway, oh well.
