Cause no way I’d put actual effort into reviewing anime nowadays. Angel Beats! almost made me want to do so, but the last episode talked me out of it. Alphabetical order:
TK was overrated.
- Angel Beats!: Had plenty of Key moments, and we all love those, don’t we? Could have been better executed if longer, since fitting everything in just 13 episodes added some pretty drastic mood swings. (eg. oh noes she’s dead ;__; *commercial break* let’s go fishing!) The plot was kinda iffy at some points too since, well, the ending was pretty much “accept the obvious” (really? nobody had thought to do that before?) and the “arcs” was kinda undefined. Gets a +1 for the Matrix shoutout though! 4 out of 5 ZEEDs
My reaction to Arakawa
- Arakawa Under the Bridge: Was liking it, then too many characters showed up and made me realize I don’t really like gag-driven anime that much… When it did have development though, it was nice! N/A out of 5 ZEEDs
Best character (but not best end for the main dude) on a hilarious frame.
- B Gata H Kei: Dumb dumb dumb, but also hilarious. Was really liking it until well, a couple episodes to the end, where the pairings became established, the other characters kinda faded away in relation to the main couple, and it became basically cockblocking anime. (ah if it had ended an episode earlier~) Glad it ended, since there basically was no more plot to discuss other than cockblocks. (plus I kinda ended up hating Yamada, welp.) 3 out of 5 ZEEDs

- Heroman: AMERICA FUCK YEAH! (dropped after first episode, just wasn’t my kind of thing) N/A out of 5 ZEEDs

- Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou: Surprise hit, started up with a great setting (magical trains how can you not love that), plot progressed at a fast pace, had some interesting “meaning,” used cliches nicely, was awesomely badass at times and the end was delightfully absurd, fitting the series like a glove. Oh and the character design, jesus christ the girls were hot. :P (Keena~~~) Kinda gave way for a season 2 but not happening ;P 5 out of 5 ZEEDs

- K-On!!: Fuck yeah two seasons. Not commenting much on it since I’m 4 eps behind out of lack of interest, but when I do watch it, I still smile all the way through just like with season 1. So moe. N/A out of 5 ZEEDs

- KissxSis: W…was the manga this dirty? Well, it was, but I still felt like something was off. Kept wanting to say THE MANGA WAS BETTER, but nothing changed drastically. Maybe it was just because my favorite part of the manga was before the graduation, where it didn’t have that many characters? Also weird fetishes. (give the pissing thing a rest ffs) 4 out of 5 ZEEDs though because I’m a terrible person.

- Mayoi Neko Overrun: Ten out of fucking ten best anime ever of the season. Loved the characters, the director switching shenanigans gave way to a lot of variety, I’m a sucker for dumb harem antics, I loved the characters, cats are always a cool plot point, did I mention I loved the characters? 5 out of 5 ZEEDs even though there’s one ep left.
- Working!: Should I mention it? Watched the 1st ep pre-air, seemed interesting enough, don’t know why I didn’t watch more of it.
Now for the oddly scheduled things:
- Katanagatari: Going as planned, great looking action-y series. Give me the OST, now!
- Sora no Woto BD extra: I liked that series, even with the lame end!
- KissxSis OVA: porn animeeee adsfsadf so bad (yet I can’t stop myself from watching)
- I’m rewatching Shana, I think! (it all started when I accidentally played the OP&ED playlist on the car that day…)
- Gotta watch Kara no Kyoukai 3, first 2 were likable enough.
- Still no progress with Futakoi or Seto no Hanayome, even though I like those.
So yes! Good season? Bad season? YOU’LL BE THE JUDGE.
